My first visit to Mure Island. I will have to find the first in the series at a later time. Such beautiful writing. The characters are all people I want to know in real life. I especially love how she weaved the story of Dr Saif and his children into the main characters stories. 

Looking forward to the next novel in the series. Excited to find a new to me author with a big backlist!!!

This book is the second of The Southern Eclectic series by Molly Harper. She writes laugh out loud southern romantic comedy.

I LOVE FRANKIE!!! What a weirdly lovable geek of a girl who tries to deny her relationship with the new sheriff. It makes for an unraveling of these two hard head and I loved every minute of this book.  Frankie, by the way is the coroner and funeral home embalmer at the family McCready Funeral home and Bait shop. She keeps her love life and family separate for a reason. Her large family is deep into everyone’s business. No one can keep anything secret.

I love reading about the McCreadys and will be reading all in this series.

Kristan Higgins is an automatic buy for me. I have been privileged to meet her twice now at Parnassus Books in Nashville, TN. She not only is a brilliant story teller, but a sweet, kind, and fabulous lady.

Good Luck with That is a story about three childhood friends who first meet at a fat camp as teenagers. Georgia, Marley, and Emerson have unique experiences and issues surrounding their lifetime of weight and body image issues. Emerson passes away early in the novel and Georgia and Marley must fulfill her dying wish to face their fears, be brave, and start the journey of self care that they have neglected most of their lives.

What follows is how Georgia and Marley become more honest about the pain and mental issues stemming from their body issues has caused in their personal relationships with family and friends.

This novel hit hard many of my own issues with body image and weight. And the great thing about Kristan is that she doesn’t condemn or endorse the choices her characters make or how they feel. She presents all these issues in a sensitive and kind way.

She signed my copy of this book with the wish that I take care of me. And I certainly don’t put my needs before others most of the time. I’m getting better at it, but it takes a lot of courage to give self care.

Finally, a concise, easy to read, and even better easy to understand guide for female entrepreneurs. Amber Hurdle tells the emotional personal story that motivated her to become the Business Bombshell she is today. She writes this book as a gift to all women everywhere who want to make a better life for themselves and their businesses.

I happen to know Amber personally, (Our sons are school friends.). This is one hardworking mama. I was really excited to receive a personal signed copy from her and to attend her launch party.

While I am not aspiring to be a Bombshell Business woman myself, I greatly admire Amber and all her accomplishments in business and in being an awesome mom.
